Adventure Tails
Check back on 11.21!: Enjoy a Day of Puppy Playtime
The Adventure Tails program was created to help socialize and entertain puppies while they live at the SCCR Adoption Center. SCCR Volunteers take puppies out on an adventure for as short as one hour, a full day, or even an overnight sleepover. Please note that Adventure Tails is available for Adoption Center puppies.
How to Get Started:
- If you’ve never volunteered with SCCR, create an account in Better Impact, our volunteer portal, and submit an application. After you have submitted your application, complete the Fostering with SCCR Module, Adventure Tails Guide Module and the Dog Walking for SCCR Module in Better Impact.
- Email any questions about earning your qualification to volunteer@sccrescue.org.
- If you already are an active SCCR Foster or Babysitter, just complete the form below at least 24 hours before your field trip.
- Check this page for updates on when puppies are at the Adoption Center and schedule your Adventure Tails.
- Email any questions about your field trip to manager.ac@sccrescue.org.

Be sure to have your field trip confirmed before you head to the Adoption Center.
*You must complete the steps above to become a qualified SCCR volunteer before requesting a field trip.
Also, please note that taking a pup on an Adventure Tail does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt that puppy. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please complete our adoption application and when our adoptions team reaches out for next steps, let them know you took the puppy on an Adventure Tails!
