Our Featured Dogs

Come and meet these dogs at our new Adoption Center!
June 25, 2020
At Second City Canine Rescue our motto is ‘Rescuing Responsibly.” In our present environment the Board has been working diligently to protect our brand. We recognize the word ‘responsible’ can mean many things to many people. We are unified in the belief that this statement does not only pertain to the wonderful animals we rescue, it also includes our fosters, volunteers, adopters, and the community we are part of. We are excited about the easing of restrictions we are all experiencing in our lives. We are following recommendations from Federal, State, Local and CDC officials. However, the recommendations are not consistent. We are so proud of our SCCR family and the continued support of our rescuing responsibly mission. Our virtual adoption process has been more successful than anything we could have imagined 3 months ago. We have made the decision that even though face to face small group adoption events will be able to start this weekend, we will stay with our virtual adoption protocols until the environment proves to be safer for all. We are committed to our mission, our people and our loving dogs. Together we will continue on with the amazing work being accomplished by SCCR.
