Yet, despite a rough start to life, his heart remains completely open. Jax has so much love to give—he just needs a safe place to land while he waits for his forever home.

A Heart for All Creatures: Jax’s absolute favorite thing is companionship. He adores other dogs and finds immense comfort in their company. He is also wonderfully gentle and friendly with cats.
The Joy of Freedom: Jax is discovering the beauty of the great outdoors. He gets pure, unfiltered joy at the sight of a leash! He loves to run, feel the breeze, and would make a deeply loyal hiking companion.
A Pure Love for Water: Water is Jax’s happy place. Whether it’s a splashing creek or a calm lake, being near water brings out his most joyful, carefree self.
The Sweetest Cuddle Buddy: After a lifetime of not having a comfortable place to rest, Jax has discovered the magic of the couch. There is nothing he loves more than curling up right next to you, resting his head in your lap, and watching TV. He is incredibly food-motivated, too, making it easy to earn his trust with a few tasty treats.
Becoming Jax’s Safe Haven:
Because of his past, the world can still feel a little scary sometimes. Jax is timid when meeting new faces and can be easily startled by loud noises. He isn’t looking for a perfect home—just a patient, loving foster family who will let him take things at his own pace.
