Promoting Your Foster Dog for Adoption

Marketing your foster dog is a key step to helping them find their forever home! Here are some guidelines and helpful tips.

Start by Writing a Great Bio!

The SCCR Bios Team will reach out and request for you to fill out this bio form around one week after bringing your foster dog home. Highlight your foster dog’s personality, quirks, and any special traits. Include information about their likes, dislikes, and what kind of home would be best for them. If you have any questions or concerns about your dogs bio, feel free to contact bios@sccrescue.org.

Send in Quality Photos

Please send in photos of your foster dog to photos@sccrescue.org. These are very important to getting your foster dog posted to our website for adoption!

  • Take a mix of headshots and full body shots to help show the dog’s size.
  • Use natural lighting or bright light for better image quality.
  • If your dog is friendly with other dogs or cats, take group photos too!

Share to Social Media

Send in frequent updates, photos, videos and stories about your foster dog to photos@sccrescue.org. The SCCR marketing team can use this content to promote your dog on social media. You can also post your own content to social media and tag SCCR! Make sure to follow the SCCR Social Media accounts:
