Darla (renamed “Annie”) was adopted as an AC puppy, and she is being returned because the adopter does not feel comfortable working with her after a few isolated incidents with smaller dogs. We dog tested her this week with a larger dog and a smaller dog, and she did great with both of them — she ignored the little one and wanted to play with the larger dog. Our assessment is that she would do really well in a home with a playful, confident, medium to larger-sized pup!
A typical adolescent dog, Darla is an energetic and fun-loving pup who loves attention and exercise. Her adopter says she is very playful with other dogs. She spent lots of time with the adopters’ grandchildren and got along with them great – she is extremely sweet and can be a little timid at first, but is a total sweetheart. She is crate trained for bedtime and she is potty trained (she does only like the crate if it’s in the bedroom). She knows “sit,” “shake,” and “lie down,” and loves to play fetch and sit at your feet when you are on the computer or couch. Sometimes she thinks she’s a lap dog, too 🙂
Who can give Darla a place to call home while we find her perfect forever family?
