Sweet, sweet Madge deserves the world. The least we could give her is a loving, patient home.
This shy terrier mix is, quite frankly, terrified of most things in life. Loud noises, new people, and fast movements are all scary, and for the time being, Madge would much prefer to stay at home than to venture out into the neighborhood for a walk. Though Madge doesn’t have a mean bone in her skinny, 25 pound self, she would do best in a quiet and patient home without young kids to help her transition into home life.
Madge has had no accidents in her foster home so far and does well left alone in a gated room. She not a chewer nor a barker, and is clearly eager to please her people.
Even in the brief amount of time Madge has spent in her foster home, this gorgeous girl has shown great strides in building confidence. She still may occasionally hide in a flower bush when something startles her, but Madge is learning to enjoy sniffing around the yard and exploring with the resident dog.
Guiding this gentle 2 year old out of her shell through lots of love and patience is so rewarding. It is what dog rescue is all about. If you have a place in your heart and your home for Madge, reach out to SCCR with an application today!

We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog.
Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don’t know their background. We encourage you to base your decision on individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on our guess.
Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near the Chicagoland area. Questions? Email us at email@example.com. Hope to see you become part of the SCCR family!
