This 10-month-old Retriever mix should be named Perfect Petee! Petee has been an excellent houseguest: he’s a good eater, housebroken, and not a chewer. He hasn’t needed a crate, has no separation anxiety, and gets along with the resident dog famously.
Petee will need a fenced yard as he will not relieve himself on a walk. Also, a yard will help him run off some of that puppy energy! Petee would also benefit from a confident resident dog to teach him acceptable behavior. He is not destructive but knows nothing about playing with toys and trusting people. Petee loves playing with other dogs. He currently weighs 30 pounds.
He is a very good dog and will be a blue ribbon buddy to the right family. Older children are preferable. He is believed to be a rural dog so suburban living would be the best for him (thunder and lightning don’t affect him but a truck releasing air brakes turns him into a tizzy). On leash he is shy and watches the resident dog to see how to act. If he sees a positive action from the other dog he will be positive and brave.
This handsome boy needs attention, patience, and a gentle hand. Are you his perfect family?

We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog.
Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don’t know their background. We encourage you to base your decision on individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on our guess.
