Any Schitt’s Creek fans out there? Well, Moira Rose has made her debut at SCCR with all of her glamour, and boy is she ready to finally be taken home.
Like her namesake, this gorgeous 40 pound pocket Pit Bull mix doesn’t let her circumstances bring her down. Moira Rose is blind, but loves exploring and learning new things. Within a few days she had mapped out her foster home, quickly getting the hang of the stairs and making friends with the resident dogs. She loves going on walks (all those good smells!) and will occasionally zoom around the yard when she’s feeling happy. Unexpected noises can scare Moira, but she’ll just respond by barking— never any aggression.
Set on a schedule, this 2-3 year old is doing great when it comes to house training. Moira is also good in her crate after taking a couple minutes to settle down, and is not inclined to chew on anything that doesn’t belong to her. She can get a bit mouthy when she is excited or playing, but given her fast-learning abilities, a little training (and good treats!) is all this smart girl will need.
Aside from working her brain and exploring outside, Moira loves receiving attention and is often found snuggling up in someone’s lap. Her foster calls her a “little love bug,” friendly to visitors and other dogs, and not afraid to show her joy through her wiggly butt and sloppy kisses.
As with TV character Moira Rose, this snuggly and happy-go-lucky girl will never fail to put a smile on your face. Fill out an application for Moira Rose today!

We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog. Come to the show to find out if this dog is the right fit for you — it's helpful to bring all family members and current dogs.
Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don’t know their background. We encourage you to base your decision on individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on our guess.
Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near the Chicagoland area. Questions? Email us at email@example.com. Hope to see you become part of the SCCR family!
