How often do you get the chance to truly turn a life around?

Rosé all Day came to SCCR terrified — tail tucked, wide eyed, shut down. Coming off the transport van, she barreled into a volunteer and hung on for dear life, seeking whatever comfort she could find. In the weeks since, she is slowly gaining confidence and joy and is learning that life can be good. We can’t wait to see her blossom into a truly happy and contented dog in her forever home.

We don’t know much about her past, but it clearly wasn’t good. Still, Rosé doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, she’s just shy and cautious. We are guessing she is a Retriever mix about 1 1/2 years old. Rosé loves her toys and will play with every single one and leave them strewn about the house for her next play session. She also LOVES the backyard — not just for prime squirrel-chasing but also, in her case, it’s a must as she seeks to potty in privacy.

Rosé clearly had no training before arriving here. She is a fast learner but will benefit from continued training both to gain confidence and to polish her household manners.

This gentle dog will require an equally gentle person ready to lavish her with patience, positive reinforcement, and oh-so-much love. Once you meet her you’ll understand: Rosé all Day deserves the very best.

Please check our events page at http://www.SecondCityCanineRescue.org to find where this dog may be shown this weekend. If you are interested in adopting this dog, you must send an application or email us at adoptions@sccrescue.org prior to a Saturday Adoption Event so we know you plan on attending. If we do not receive any communication from you, the dog may be adopted out at our event prior to 12 pm if the perfect home comes along. 🙂

The breed or breed mix listed for each dog is simply a guess. The profile software program requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. However, visual breed identification is unreliable. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog’s individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess. Dogs are individuals.

Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near Chicagoland... we are sorry but we cannot accept any out of state applications. We look forward to speaking with you!
