Black Mouth Cur RetrieverView Joplin on Petfinder
You can see it, can’t you? The scared look in Joplin’s eyes? This 3-year-old Black Mouth Cur Retriever is just so fearful, we hate to think why that might be. But she is sweet as sugar and never reacts aggressively. Consistent kindness is all she needs and, oh, how she deserves it! Joplin is housebroken, crate-trained, good with other dogs, and doesn’t chew inappropriate items. Her foster mom has yet to hear her bark. She enjoys being outside and doesn’t pull on leash, although she does zig-zag a bit. It’s clear she hasn’t had any training yet but we believe she will be a star student, as she clearly wants to please. Her foster mom calls her "the sweetest dog ever” and adds, “Joplin is going to make some family an AWESOME pet!!! She mellows when you want her to and is active when you want her to be. She is fearful of many things but with some training and confidence boosting, she will blossom to a beautiful girl!!” Can you provide the warm, loving environment this girl needs? With time, she is going to be a most devoted and grateful dog. Fill out an application on Joplin and come meet her this Saturday. Be gentle with her, she’s a quiet soul. Please check our events page at http://www.SecondCityCanineRescue.org to find where this dog may be shown this weekend. If you are interested in adopting this dog, you must send an application or email us at email@example.com prior to a Saturday Adoption Event so we know you plan on attending. If we do not receive any communication from you, the dog may be adopted out at our event prior to 12 pm if the perfect home comes along. 🙂 The breed or breed mix listed for each dog is simply a guess. The profile software program requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. However, visual breed identification is unreliable. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog’s individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess. Dogs are individuals. Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near Chicagoland... we are sorry but we cannot accept any out of state applications. We look forward to speaking with you!
