ChihuahuaView Maly on Petfinder
Hello, hello! My name is Maly (mah-LEE) which means little and guess what… I AM little. I’m an 8 pound, 10 month old male Chihuahua/Terrier mix. To paraphrase Shakespeare, "Though he be little, he be mighty.” I am trying to live up to that quote the very best I can. I am potty trained and Foster Mom helps by letting me out often. It’s cold up here in Chicago and I caught on pretty quick. Go out, get it done and run back in (got that down pat). However, I will use the potty pads Mom puts down when it is way too cold to go outside and if I have to go potty in the middle of the night. I am a polite houseguest for Foster Mom; I don't chew on anything that isn’t mine. I'm very agile and like to hop up on the sofa for some pets and maybe take a little nap. During the day I nap in a dog bed but at night I prefer to sleep with my human. Please let me! Foster Mom lets me and I haven’t had ANY accidents. I'm very proud of that! I am not a big barker, but the resident dog has taught me how to alert mom when someone is walking up to our door to ring the bell. I'm happy, content and easy-going. The leash is not a bother to me and I don’t fight it. I like other dogs and wouldn't mind a housemate to play with. I admit I’m a little shy at first meeting. I’m a little particular about food and treats but, in fairness, I’m new to town. I’m sure I will find my favorite Northern food pretty quick. There are lots of new things here for me — like toys (what are those things?) and crates. But I’m a determined guy and will figure these things out soon. I may be tiny but I am the whole package! I'm adorable, housebroken, and am not a chewer or barker. Foster Mom says I make her heart sing. Can I play a tune on your heartstrings? Fill out an application today. Maly’s the name! Please check our events page at http://www.SecondCityCanineRescue.org to find where this dog may be shown this weekend. If you are interested in adopting this dog, you must send an application or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org prior to a Saturday Adoption Event so we know you plan on attending. If we do not receive any communication from you, the dog may be adopted out at our event prior to 12 pm if the perfect home comes along. 🙂 The breed or breed mix listed for each dog is simply a guess. The profile software program requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. However, visual breed identification is unreliable. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog’s individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess. Dogs are individuals. Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near Chicagoland... we are sorry but we cannot accept any out of state applications. We look forward to speaking with you!
